  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or your choice)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet. Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving for a fresh touch.

Notes

Customize your casserole by using different proteins, cheeses, or adding veggies such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
