- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots. Cover and let the cheese melt.

- Once done, serve hot, garnished with cilantro or green onions if desired.
