Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onions and green bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté until they're soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Transfer the Sloppy Joe mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Biscuit Topping
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and salt. Stir until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the Sloppy Joe filling, covering the surface as evenly as possible.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy your Sloppy Joe Cheddar Bay Biscuit Casserole.
