Method
Preparation
- Start by measuring out all your ingredients. Chop the onion and mince the garlic to ensure everything is ready for cooking.
Cooking Beef
- In a large skillet or a wide pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned, about 5-7 minutes. Break the meat apart with a spatula for even cooking.
Adding Aromatics
- Once the beef is browned, add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the onions become translucent and fragrant.
Mixing Ingredients
- Pour in the beef broth, followed by the egg noodles. Stir to combine, ensuring that the noodles are submerged in the broth.
- Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle in the salt and pepper for flavor. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Incorporating Vegetables
- Gently fold in the frozen mixed vegetables. They will heat up quickly, so no need to thaw them beforehand.
Simmering
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pan. Allow it to cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are cooked and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Final Touches
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If you prefer it a little more savory, feel free to add more soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce.
Serving
- Remove the pan from heat. Serve the beef and noodles in bowls, garnished with fresh sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of broth or water to loosen up the noodles.
