Crust Ingredients

  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) For a golden finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in mixed vegetables, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture, stirring to coat.
  6. Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  7. Roll out the pie crusts on a floured surface and cut them into 6-inch circles (or your preferred size).
Assembly and Baking
  1. Place the cut pie dough into individual ramekins or muffin tins. Fill each with the beef mixture, leaving space at the top.
  2. Place another round of pie crust on top of each filled ramekin. Seal and crimp edges together. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  3. Brush the tops of the pies with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  4. Place the pies on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  6. Enjoy your individual beef pot pies warm!
