Preparation
- In a pot of boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2 minutes, then transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth until well combined. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the beef. Stir to coat evenly.
- Add the prepared broccoli to the skillet, tossing everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Drizzle the sesame oil over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve the beef and broccoli over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Notes
Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas to enhance the dish even more.
