Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
- Add breadcrumbs, 2/3 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, milk, parsley, onion, garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Mix all ingredients until well combined, but do not over-mix.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan, forming it into a loaf shape.
- Spread 1 cup of ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Top with the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
- Slice and serve warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
