Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn) Can swap with fresh or canned veggies.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Plus more for topping.
  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough Can use gluten-free biscuits.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Cut each biscuit into quarters and toss in a mixture of melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
  8. Scatter the coated biscuit pieces over the beef mixture in the casserole dish.
  9. Top with additional shredded cheddar cheese.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
