Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Mix well.
- Add the BBQ sauce to the skillet with the beef, stirring to ensure it’s evenly coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
- Grease a muffin tin. Place each flattened biscuit into the cups of the tin, pressing down into the bottom and up the sides to form a cup.
- Spoon the BBQ beef mixture into each biscuit cup until they are filled, but not overflowing.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top of each filled biscuit cup.
- Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Once baked, remove the BBQ Beef Biscuit Cups from the oven, let them cool slightly, then garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the beef mixture a day in advance, and assemble and bake the cups when you’re ready to serve. Try using ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Serve with extra BBQ sauce or ranch dressing on the side.
