Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or oil.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the chopped onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are tender.
- Pour in the barbecue sauce, mixing thoroughly with the beef. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Roll out the pie crusts on a clean surface. Using a round cutter or glass, cut out circles that are about 4 inches in diameter.
- Place each circle of dough into a muffin tin cup, pressing down gently to fit the shape. Fill each crust with the barbecue beef mixture until nearly full.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture in each cup.
- Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once baked, allow the cups to cool for a few minutes in the tin before removing them. Serve warm for the best taste.
Notes
Tips: For added flavor, consider alternative meats or mixing barbecue sauces. These cups can be assembled a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
