Description

Make the best McCormick French Toast with vanilla, cinnamon, and rich flavors. Follow this easy step-by-step guide for a perfect breakfast!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (brioche or challah preferred)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or heavy cream for richness)
  • 1 tsp McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp McCormick® Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp McCormick® Ground Nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (for serving)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract, McCormick® Ground Cinnamon, and McCormick® Ground Nutmeg until well combined.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter to coat the surface.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 5-10 seconds per side.
  4. Place the soaked bread onto the heated skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale bread for better absorption.
  • Try a mix of whole milk and heavy cream for a richer texture.
  • Experiment with toppings like whipped cream, nuts, or cinnamon sugar.
