Ingredients

Scale

1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor)

1 can (12 oz) soda (choose based on cake flavor)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.

2. In a large bowl, add the dry cake mix.

3. Pour the entire can of soda into the mix.

4. Stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan.

6. Bake 25–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

7. Cool completely before adding toppings or slicing.

Notes

Do not add eggs, oil, or water.

Try cola with chocolate cake or lemon-lime soda with vanilla.

Great for cupcakes too—reduce bake time to 15–18 minutes.
